Eden's Dream
The day had been relentless. Endless emails, meetings that blurred together, and traffic that made me question my life choices. By the time I reached my front door, my shoulders were up near my ears, and my brain felt like it had run a marathon without my permission. Then - there she was.
A smile from ear to ear, the softest little voice to greet me as I walked through the door, a snuggle that made the tension in my shoulders loosen, and for the first time all day, I felt still.
We sat with a candle watching the way the flame swayed, its golden light casting slow-moving shadows against the walls. The calming scent of lavender and cedar wood wrapping around us. The world outside, with all its noise and demands, started to fade. Sweet dreams for now.
